Rapid Diagnostic Clinic (RDC)
If you have vague but concerning symptoms of possible cancer, but don’t fit our referral criteria for cancer or other specialist services, your GP can refer you to our Rapid Diagnostic Clinic.
Our clinic provides fast-track testing where you will be seen by different members of our team and if needed, have tests such as blood tests, X-rays or an ECG on the day. Please allow up to three hours for your appointment.
Our team consist of Three GPs including a clinical lead, Two Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), A clinical psychologist, Health Care Assistant (HCA), Patient pathway tracker and Two Administrators.
Our aim is to see you within two weeks of your referral to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan as quickly as possible.
Location and clinic times
Our clinic runs on the following days at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
- Tuesdays 09:30 am – 4pm
- Wednesdays 1:30 pm – 4pm
- Thursdays 1:30 pm – 4pm
- Fridays 09:30am– 12:00pm
