About the School Health Safeguarding Team
We are the School Health Safeguarding Team - a team of specialist public health nurses (also known as school nurses), registered nurses, and public health assistants.
What we offer

Holistic health assessments for children on a Child Protection (CP) or Child in Need (CIN) plan with consent

Accident and Emergency (A&E) follow ups

Partnership working with multi-professional agencies

One-to-one health promotion

Looked After Children (LAC) health assessments for children who attend a Lewisham school
How to access this service
To access this service, your child must:
-
Be on a CP plan, CIN plan or be home educated
-
Attend a school in Lewisham
-
Live in Lewisham, if home educated or not attending school
-
Be aged between 5 and 19 years old

Have an allocated social worker
Our availability
We are available Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
There is a nurse on duty every day who will respond to your telephone and email enquiries.
