Leadership development
Our leaders and managers play an essential role in ensuring that LGT delivers high quality care for every patient, every day. To support and develop staff to succeed, we offer a range of development opportunities to all colleagues at every stage of their leadership and management journey. We want the Trust to be a great place to work, where everyone can start to lead, grow and thrive.
The Trust offers a suite of leadership and management development opportunities to enable staff to embed Trust values, build their skillset and maximise their potential.
Management skills training
We run a range of skills development and training for managers on topics such as Conducting Effective 1:1s, PDR Appraisal Training, Giving and Receiving Feedback and Managing Difficult Conversations.
Leadership development programmes
We offer our own internal leadership development programmes for staff looking to grow their impact, including the Operational Managers Programme aimed at managers who want to enhance and develop their skillset. Additionally, we support our staff to access national leadership programmes such as the Core Managers Programme, Edward Jenner and Mary Seacole.
Leadership forum
The Leadership Forum is open to all colleagues and is an opportunity to network with your peers, engage in CPD activities and connect with others working across the Trust.
Online tools and resources
At LGT you will have access to a range of online resources such as leadership toolkits, leadership e-learning programmes, guides for coaches and mentors, and webinars
