Equality, diversity and inclusion
Our vision is to create a workplace that is accessible, inclusive and innovative, enabling the Trust to deliver fair and equitable outcomes for staff, patients and carers.
Our workforce reflects our diverse communities, with over 59% of our colleagues from ethnic minorities. We believe that our diversity is our strength, and together we can create a workplace where every voice is heard and every individual can thrive.
We work hard to ensure that all colleagues feel included and welcomed and we have four well established EDI networks:
- Multicultural Inclusion Network
- Disability Awareness Network
- Women’s Network
- LGBT+ Network.
We have taken a range of steps to improve the number of under-represented staff in senior roles, and we have a reverse mentoring programme to increase senior leaders’ understanding of the issues faced by colleagues in under-represented groups.
