Egg-cellent start to LGT's Easter celebrations
LGT kicked off the Easter celebrations with a cracking party on Safari children’s ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The party included live music from Music in Hospitals and Care, arts and crafts from the Royal Naval College, an Easter egg hunt in the Safari Ward Children's Garden, an egg and spoon race, and story time with the Easter Bunny.
Virgin Media, in Hither Green, joined in the celebrations by delivering 100 Easter eggs to our children and young people who will be spending Easter at LGT. Additionally, 100 Easter eggs were donated by the Chartwell Children's Cancer Trust to our young cancer patients on Tiger Ward.
Carol Sullivan Wallace Health Play specialist said: “What a fantastic start to Easter at LGT; Thank you to the Old Naval College in Greenwich, Music in Hospitals and Care, Asda in Charlton for sponsoring this event, especially during these trying times. Virgin Media, for delivering 100 Easter eggs to the hospital before Easter. These eggs will be given to our children and young people who will be in the hospital at Easter, and donations like this helps to take their minds off what they are going through and brighten their spirits."
