Procurement
The Trust is a member of a procurement shared service, SmartTogether, hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
SmartTogether is responsible for procurement and supply chain management for Guy’s and St Thomas’, Lewisham and Greenwich and Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trusts.
The sourcing team manages over £300m of expenditure across clinical and non-clinical spend categories.
The supply chain team operates one of the largest automated inventory management systems in Europe across the three NHS Trusts. The team handles over one million product deliveries per year.
The Trust uses the following regional and national frameworks to purchase goods and services:
- London Procurement Partnership (agency, soft and hard facilities management, pharmacy)
- Crown Commercial Services (consultancy, energy, information technology and telecommunication (IT&T)
- Gcloud Digital Marketplace (IT&T)
- NHS Supply Chain (medical equipment and medical surgical consumables).
