Breakfast: 8am–9am
Lunch: 12 midday–1pm
Dinner: 5pm–6pm
There are 7 drinks rounds per day.
If you have any particular dietary needs please tell ward staff as early as possible during your stay. There are a wide array of options including snacks, vegan/vegetarian, Halal, liquidised, pureed and lighter options such as sandwiches. Hot food is also available 24 hours from an all-day menu when needed.
Family or friends can not only order meals for you if you cannot, but also offer some extra assistance to their loved ones at mealtimes as part of our ‘making mealtimes matter at LGT’ campaign. Quite often a family member or friend being present while a patient has their meal can be very beneficial, so if you’d like to be there to offer that extra support please discuss this with the ward staff.
There are restaurants and cafés for friends and relatives:
Located on the first floor of the Green Zone.
Opening:
Gaff café, located in the Riverside Building reception area, offers a range of hot and cold drinks and hot food and snacks.
Opening:
Muffin Break has moved to its new location in the walkway next to the Dermatology department, which can be found behind the Ambulance bay. This is an outdoor space but it is covered and there are some seats. They offer a range of beverages including coffees, teas and hot and cold food.
