Antenatal Care in Lewisham
The Antenatal Ward is co-located with the Labour Ward and has ten antenatal beds, four of which are in single rooms with en-suite facilities.
If you become unwell in pregnancy and require ongoing observation you will be admitted to the Antenatal Ward. Women who require induction of labour will also be admitted to the Antenatal Ward.
Day Assessment Unit
This midwife-led service provides an additional means of assessment for women with complications in pregnancy such as raised blood pressure or irregular blood sugar levels.
In addition to referrals from GPs and midwives, women can refer themselves directly to this service. To do so, please call 020 8333 3000 ext 8718 (until 7pm) or contact the Labour Ward on 020 8333 3026 (after 7pm).
