Update on booking blood tests

The NHS continues to feel the effects of a cyber-attack affecting an NHS pathology service provider known as Synnovis. At present, we have eight active sites across Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley where you can get a blood test marked as 'urgent' or 'important':

  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital
  • Eltham Community Hospital
  • Sydenham Green Health Centre
  • Waldron Health Centre
  • South Lewisham Health Centre
  • Rushey Green Health Centre
  • Queen Mary's Hospital
  • Erith Health Centre

If you have a referral from your GP for a blood test marked 'urgent' or 'important' (this will appear on the forms you receive), please book your test at one of these sites via our outpatient call centre: 020 8333 3217. Our lines are open from 8am to 4pm, from Monday to Friday.

Please note: you will need to bring a hard copy of your bloods request form to your booked appointment. If you do not bring this form, you will not be able to be seen, and will have to rebook. If you do not have this form, please contact your GP.

Colleagues across south east London are working full time to resolve the remaining issues and bring back our capacity to carry out non-urgent blood tests. We hope to be able to give a positive update on this in early August, and apologise for the continued inconvenience this situation has caused.
