LGT’s Ben Travis features in prestigious CEO list
Today the Health Service Journal has unveiled its top 50 NHS CEOs for 2024, and we are absolutely delighted to see our very own Ben Travis featured in the list.
Comprised of a ranked top 15 and then the following 35, the list pulls together the best of the best CEOs across the NHS and is compiled with the input of leading figures in and around the NHS.
CEO were assessed across three categories, their personal performance over the last year; the performance of the organisation they lead, given the circumstances it is in; and the contribution made to the wider health and social care system.
Everything from leadership style and behaviours to ensuring high standards of patient care, and team development has been looked at as the HSJ sought to identify chief executives working for the benefit of the system as a whole rather than only protecting the interests of their own organisations.
Ben Travis said: “I’d like to acknowledge this recognition on behalf of the whole of Team LGT. It reflects the huge amount of work that we have been doing as a team over the last six years and the progress that we are making. This is thanks to every member of our team working so hard to ensure that we put patients first and deliver against our values.”
Mike Bell said: “On behalf of Team LGT, I would like to congratulate Ben on his recognition today. LGT is an organisation that is transforming for the better, with a strengthened senior team, improving culture, and evolving patient services and care. The rest of the NHS is noticing that we are changing, which is fantastic, and Ben is leading this transformation with integrity as an inclusive leader who places a huge value on teamwork and recognition. Well done Ben and thank you for all your hard work.”
