Santa Dave's magical visits to QEH

For the past ten years, Santa Dave Gibson has been spreading joy and laughter to the children's wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His visits have become a beloved tradition, and even during the lockdown, he continued to bring smiles, delivering cuddly reindeer toys.

Carol Sullivan-Wallace, Health Play Specialist, said: “Dave's visits mean the world to both our families and the colleagues at LGT. For many of our families, meeting Santa is something they may not be able to experience with their child, making the chance to capture the magic of a Santa visit and photograph all the more special. Dave visits every paediatric area, sitting with the children, sharing Christmas stories, and reassuring each child that no matter where they are on Christmas Day, he will find them.

"Dave has been the epitome of selflessness, never asking for anything in return except a smile. As this year marks his tenth visit, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for the immense joy he brings.”

Throughout his visits at LGT, Dave has been supported by Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, who have generously provided Christmas books and other gifts.

A special thank you from TeamLGT Dave.
