Blood tests at University Hospital Lewisham
We provide a phlebotomy ward round for hospital inpatients and a blood test service for hospital outpatient referrals in Suite 1, Purple Zone.
Patients are referred to Suite 1 from hospital outpatient clinics. Suite 1 also houses the Anticoagulation Clinic. Suite 1 is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

GP blood test requests
Suite 1 does not provide a service for GP patients unless it is for a specialised test
GP patients who need to attend Suite 1 for blood tests requiring specialised processing will be informed of this individually by the GP.
Blood tests are by appointment only. Please do not show up at any of the clinics without an appointment. When you are referred for a blood test or other phlebotomy-related procedure, you should receive a form which lists the clinics and times where and when this is available to you.
Blood tests in the community
We offer blood tests at a variety of other sites in Lewisham. These include: Honor Oak Health Centre, Waldron Health Centre, Sydenham Green Health Centre, Lee HC,South Lewisham Health Centre, Primary Care Centre at Rushey Green Group Practice and Downham Health Centre. Children under 10 should be booked at South Lewisham Paediatric Phlebotomy Clinic.

Please note: you will need to bring a hard copy of your bloods request form to your booked appointment. If you do not bring this form, you will not be able to be seen, and will have to rebook. If you do not have this form, please contact your GP.
