Trust Sites are Going Smokefree!

Trust Sites are Going Smokefree!

As from March 9, 2016 Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust will be smoke free. This means that smoking is not permitted in our carparks, grounds and buildings by staff, patients or visitors.

Many NHS hospitals are completely smoke free and feedback from staff shows that the great majority are in favour of this change. The Trust is committed to helping smokers who want to quit and nicotine replacement therapy is available for patients on our wards and we can also refer patients to our stopping smoking services.  Becoming smoke free can take as little as three months once people start the programme and there is 1:1 support and encouragement to ensure that people achieve their goal of quitting.
