Free health checks are available for everyone in England who is aged 40-74.
 

 

Unfortunately, Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia.

However, the good news is that these conditions can often be prevented, even if you have a family history of them.

NHS Health Check can help you by assessing your risk of developing these health problems and giving you personalised advice on how to reduce it.

Health Checks in Lewisham

All GP practices and some pharmacies in the borough offer free NHS Health Checks for 40-74 year olds. If you’re registered with a GP, you may be invited for the check by letter, or you may be offered the check when you're at your GP or local pharmacy.

Health Checks in Greenwich

In Greenwich, residents are offered the enhanced NHS Health Check PLUS, which looks at overall mental health and the risk of cancer, as well as the risk of other long-term health problems. For more information, please visit the Live Well website.
